Ethics

Academic editors correct grammatical errors, point out problems in a paper's structure, and highlight concepts that need clarification.  We edit and polish, but do not write papers.

Because some students, particularly international students, often require more assistance than their friends or the university writing center can offer, they often seek professional editing.  In fact, many students have sought my services after their professors have suggested that they get their papers edited. 

Students benefit from the individual attention, ongoing support, and expertise that I offer. Also, students learn from the editing process: they can see their error patterns and learn from the corrections. 

Everyone has their own sense of ethics.  What's important is that the writing, along with the research and thinking behind the paper, are the student's.
